Who do you imagine would provide it (cruise line, port authority, someone else), and why would they do so?
Rare 1025cruise Posted March 31 #4 Share Posted March 31 I believe Carnival is providing some transportation back and forth this weekend. Not sure if it is limited to just getting people back to Balitmore.
kellygirl67 Posted March 31 #5 Share Posted March 31 (edited) We were just officially notified by Carnival that we're leaving out of Norfolk for our upcoming cruise in a few weeks. The notification did say that there would be limited availability to still park in Baltimore and take a complimentary charter bus down to Norfolk (approx. 5 hr. Trip) by pre-registering but the detailed notification on how to pre-register hasn't arrived yet. We live in No. Va. so just easier for us to drive down to Norfolk ourselves. Carnival also indicated they are giving a $100 per stateroom OnBoard credit, so that will make up for the extra gas it will take to get down to Norfolk. shipgeeks Posted March 31 Author #6 Share Posted March 31 The current RC cruise (Vision) passengers are being offered their choice of shuttle to Norfolk airport, BWI airport, or Baltimore cruise port, all complementary, at the end of the cruise. Lizard13 Posted March 31 #7 Share Posted March 31 (edited) Cruisers may wish to consider using Amtrak to return to Baltimore. The station is 1.3 miles away from the cruise terminal in Norfolk Edited March 31 by Lizard13
shipgeeks Posted April 3 Author #8 Share Posted April 3 Port of Norfolk is reporting that RC has chartered 55 buses to take pax to Baltimore tomorrow. Arrival information for those arriving for April 4 cruise is listed as well.
shipgeeks Posted May 14 Author #9 Share Posted May 14 It appears that Vision's cruises, when she returns from drydock on May 25, will all sail from Baltimore.
dennbr9 Posted May 16 #10 Share Posted May 16 Your lips to God’s ears😉 We are on the 5 day starting on the 25th. Norfolk would be a shorter drive for us, but would not like it if we sailed out of there, then back to Baltimore for a looong bus ride.

Good point - I wonder how they will handle re-opening of Baltimore port. I cannot believe they would return to a different port from port of embarkation.
