hyerpraise Posted May 2 #278 Share Posted May 2 So sorry to hear about your cat passing. Thanks again for taking us along with the new Glory going from across the pond to Her new home port. We will be sailing a 3 day cruise over Memorial Day. It was a last second decision. Haven't been on Carnival in a long time. Thanks again for your review.

Rare BlerkOne Posted May 4 Author #280 Share Posted May 4 Made it home late Thursday. Got to the Parking Spot and the remote for my vehicle did nothing. Terrific. But I keep spare batteries in the glove box. The remote does have a pop out sort of key so I could open the driver door, but then a new battery didn't improve things. The vehicle battery was completely dead. Thankfully the Parking Spot has a ginormous wheeled jump starter (and compressor!) that they brought out and promptly got the vehicle started. It seems fine now, so I'm not sure why it was dead, but will find out sooner or later. Ordered for next trip - portable jump starter - check!

I was going to ask for a side of bacon but decided to take a break. Does the buffalo sandwich have a spicy coating? Or do they use buffalo sauce for that? Was wondering if this would be a good option for a picky kid who just wants chicken tenders for lunch.

The heat was in the sauce and I should have asked for more sauce. I thought the boneless chicken breast was crispy and tasty. I think it would work - just tell the kid it is a supersized nugget.

We have a lot of animals (and land) from large to small. We know we will probably outlive all of the current menagerie, but it still hurts when you lose one. Life goes on. There will be more rescues. Meanwhile the two litters a feral cat decided to gift us with last year before we could catch her (now all are fixed), checking out a new cat tree.
nealstuber Posted Tuesday at 01:34 PM #299 Share Posted Tuesday at 01:34 PM Hello, we’re very experienced cruisers who have never done a TA but are doing the Valor TA in the Summer 2025. Looks like this cruise was pretty similar (except we end up in NOLA). Seeking perspective on what’s different, good and bad. What to bring that we wouldn’t normally bring. Especially interested in sea day activities. Thanks in advance!

Especially interested in sea day activities. Thanks in advance! I pretty much pack the same whether a 3 day or 3 week cruise. We love sea days as do nothing days. I think I posted the Funtimes which will give you an idea of what might be available. If there is an early hurricane, you might have an interesting cruise. We could carry on as much booze as we wanted in Barcelona, but times are changing and who knows what will be allowed next year. There is a liquor store in the BCN port after security, so if it is still there, you should be golden. I'll ponder some more.
