jsglow Posted May 19 #51 Share Posted May 19 I too like the carbonara. But I will tell you that it pales in comparison to carbonara in Italy itself. That stuff is amazing.

CookieShip Posted May 21 #53 Share Posted May 21 That Beef Wellington was amazing, meat was cooked perfectly. I think it was even better than my ribeye in the steakhouse!

This looks like the medium rare. I would love to try this, but I just can't eat beef that isn't well done. Can't handle the pink. I suppose I could get it as well done as they will do it, and make that night the one where I order a 2nd entree......for just in case!

We had it two weeks ago on the Vista and it was a nice ( but very tiny ) filet. Served with eggs and fries. Fries were not nice. Cold. Order some potatoes or hash browns to go along with it as your starch. 🙂

Dessert can be hit or miss for me. They all look really tasty, but sometimes what they call buttercream really tastes like they just creamed butter, put some color on it and iced the cake. It felt like I was eating a stick of butter even if the sponge was good. The cakes are probably my most disappointing dessert items. Though on the last couple cruises I was pleasantly surprised by them once or twice.

ChuckF Posted June 7 #63 Share Posted June 7 I have re-discovered how good the short ribs are. Also really like the coffee rubbed duck and crawfish fettuccine from the Emeri's menu. For dessert, creme brule and Baked Alaska.
