islanderr Posted May 2 #1 Share Posted May 2 It's good to see all the reviews from the press junket this last day or so. I don't see any mention, however, of the quality of internet connections. I believe that Anne was to be the first Cunard ship to roll out SpaceX's Starlink service. Any sign of that?
TowandaUK Posted May 2 #2 Share Posted May 2 Starlink has been installed on the existing queens for a while. Reports seem to be positive.
APfaff Posted May 20 #3 Share Posted May 20 I confirm TowandaUK's observation. On my QM2 transatlantic in January, Starlink was up and running without a hitch. The internet connection was so good that you hardly knew you were in the middle of the Atlantic.
Rare Victoria2 Posted May 20 #4 Share Posted May 20 Essential internet connection is excellent. Can’t confirm Premium as it’s not needed for us. 1
njpln Posted May 20 #5 Share Posted May 20 Currently on QA. We are having issues connecting on Sea days. We have to keep retrying to get on. Maybe 8 to 10 tries. Disappointing.

Disappointing. You always have to re log back in if you don’t use internet for a while. That’s just how it works. The connection is available 24/7 but you are not permanently logged in. 1

njpln Posted May 20 #8 Share Posted May 20 (edited) Yes. We are aware we always have to log in. That’s my point. And logging in can take multiple attempts..it say “ not connected” on numerous logins. Edited May 20 by njpln

njpln Posted May 20 #10 Share Posted May 20 We haven’t had an issue with the Internet either. We’ve just had issues logging in on sea days. Once we’ve logged in, it’s great.

TowandaUK Posted May 21 #12 Share Posted May 21 We haven’t had any problems logging in. We share one device so are constantly logging off to let the other login. We did have problems getting emails but I believe that to be a BT problem. All ok now.

We had a similar email problem, but, as in your case, it is resolved. 😀
