nmsk5 Posted May 17 #1 Share Posted May 17 We are sailing on Beyond for an 8 night cruise to the ABC Islands. How many formal nights are there and do you know what nights they are?
broadwaybaby123 Posted May 17 #2 Share Posted May 17 Don't know what nights they are, but on sailings with similar length there's normally 2 formal nights.
Alakegirl Posted May 17 #3 Share Posted May 17 They are no longer called formal nights. Look for information about chic nights. There should be two on your cruise.
as3369 Posted May 17 #4 Share Posted May 17 From Celebrity Website: EVENING CHIC Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights we call Evening Chic. Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jean, an elegant dress top or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos. The Daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and theater.
Rare cruisestitch Posted May 17 #5 Share Posted May 17 That should say one to 2 to 3. Recently, we had 3 on a 13 night cruise on Silhouette.

Traditionally formal nights, no matter what a cruise line calls it, has been on sea days to allow a little extra time to get dressed and ready. On a long port extensive itinerary, I don't know if that holds true.
