So_Tweetie Posted June 4 #1 Share Posted June 4 We bid to upgrade from our interior cabin on Liberty of the Seas and won! We made a 360° walkthrough video of our Panoramic Suite. This was four days we will NEVER forget! It was our first time using the 360 camera, so give us some grace please Room tour begins @ 6:20 https://youtu.be/0oxyj36sgMo A tip for this ship that we learned the hard way: Do NOT cancel previously purchased internet packages, thinking internet will be included. It is NOT! You need to be aware of the stipulations Royal Caribbean has about suite perks by ship class. 3

So_Tweetie Posted June 4 Author #3 Share Posted June 4 Sorry for the repeat posts, I am just trying to share an image from the suite lounge but it won't show up 😅
Rare Scottdalfonso Posted June 4 #4 Share Posted June 4 That's awesome- just shocked that they offered you a suite, usually it only goes up a few levels from your booked room. Like right now I'm booked for an Ocean view room and only offered a royal up for a Spacious ocean view, a spacious panoramic ocean view, an ultra spacious OV, and an ocean view balcony. Being offered a suite is awesome, and it's great that you won!! Glad you enjoyed!!!

Toddcan Posted June 4 #6 Share Posted June 4 We've been offered Royal Ups from interior to the Panoramic Suite - it's really not a suite by the "traditional" definition, I believe.
RFerrington Posted June 4 #7 Share Posted June 4 The Panoramic Ocean View Suite is a full suite, with all of the suite amenities that are offered on that particular ship class (realizing that, as the OP mentioned, those amenities do NOT include WiFi on the smaller classes). We've had the Panoramic Ocean View Suite a couple of times on the Voyager class ships and we really enjoy that suite category. It's only disadvantage (IMO) is its location all the way forward. It's not located near anything that we frequent so it's a bit of a walk to get anywhere and there is also a bit more motion way up front. But the room itself is stunning !

The reason for my inquiry, is that I have a 3 & 4 niter b-b interior cabin on Utopia in late August and trying to evaluate between Casino upgrade or wait for the Royal Up on an ocean view balcony cabin. Recently, upgraded from an interior on Odyssey to a balcony cabin for $820 as a solo and was advised that I probably could have done better with Royal Up. However, the advantage is that I have an assigned cabin.

On a previous cruise (Jewel of the Seas, six day trip) we called the casino and were able to upgrade from an interior to an Oceanview for only $5 each. I couldn't believe it! Hope you get the cabin you want! 1
HicksRA Posted June 4 #11 Share Posted June 4 My only dislike of the panoramic suite is the small nonfancy bathroom with only a shower like the balcony cabins. But you do get another smaller one as well with no shower. Otherwise, I love them and book one when I can find one available. Best view on the ship IMO.

No tub is the reason I have no interest in this category. Also just experienced the split bathroom on Icon and hated that setup. George C Posted June 4 #13 Share Posted June 4 Not a lot of suite perks but a great deal , nice happy hour , handy to have concierge to help with anything, priority embarkation and disembarkation and breakfast in specialty restaurant. I also love the pool seating for suites .

Not for us though.

I love the seats really close to pool and bar , very few steps to climb, definitely prefer that over oasis class suite seating for suites.

We are fans too, very close to everything and we like to see what is going on around the main pool.

I had a bit of a hard time accepting that the internet discount/freebie did not apply when I spoke with the suite lounge representative. She refused (per company policy) to re-instate the previous purchase we'd made, and that made it worse. BUT - given the other perks we received over the course of the trip I still am happy with the outcome. The suite life is UNMATCHED.

I agree and have voiced my opinion many times that the internet should be included fleet wide when sailing in a suite.

Twice on Navigator and we loved it both times and once on Serenade. On Serenade it was Midship... I believe it was the old Concierge Lounge that had been converted to a suite. It was even bigger than the forward OVP suites on NV. It really was massive. I'd take one any day of the week. Congrats @So_Tweetie, that's a great score. 🙂

Update, for the Utopia sail I was able to upgrade from guaranteed interior to ocean view balcony for $63 for the 3 niter and $107 for the 7 niter. This is for 2 and doing a happy dance. The craziest pricing that I saw was that the CP balconies were higher in price than the OV balconies.

Rare trafaelwyr Posted June 9 #24 Share Posted June 9 After reading this, I decided to throw in a bid (lowest amount) going from an interior cabin with virtual view to a cabin with an ocean view balcony on Harmony. I doubt I'll win, but thought, why not?

Yes, it was the old CL.
