Day pass at Royal Sonesta?

Has anyone gotten a day pass at this resort recently?  If so, how was it?  The cost is $99 and  only includes one drink but if pool and beach access are amazing it would be well worth it.  Also, is transportation to this resort fairly easy from port?  My best mapping puts it about 7.5 miles away and seems it should be a 15 min taxi ride?

 

if anyone has any info to share it would be much appreciated!  Haven’t been to San Juan since 2011 and I am sure a lot has changed.
