Bring wine onboard?

We have the Premium drinks HIA package for our Volendam cruise this month. There is a wine store across the street from our hotel in Boston. Having the $15 cap on wine by the glass makes bringing wine on board questionable for us. I have seen recent wines by the glass menus from the Volendam and there seems to be plenty that are very drinkable.

We are 3 star, do we get the same 25% discount on single bottles or this only for the Sommelier packages?

With having to pay $20 per bottle and only paying the difference +18% on drinks over $15 the drink package still looks good to me.

On 12 post Covid cruises we have had the premium drinks package on both Celebrity and HAL. On all of them the wines by the glass have been adequate enough that we have not brought any wine onboard a cruise. Plus, our TA always has 2 bottles waiting for us in our cabin when we board.

I believe it is only the package, mini bar purchases and speciality restaurants.

It is only on the Sommelier package and does not apply to individual bottles.
