Cancel a cruise and apply credit to an existing reservation

I have someone that is interested in going on a cruise that I've already booked, if they were to back out, can I cancel that reservation and apply credit to an existing reservation?

I’m not understanding what you are asking.  Are you already booked as a solo?  If so, adding your friend would only add fees and taxes.  They would not split the fare so he pays half…that would be up to you to get the money from him.  EM
