If so, then that's the strategy!  Have one couple buy SSBP and then just keep buying bottles at discount and sharing with other couples who don't have to pay for it!  🙂

Well, here’s a funny/sad story from our last cruise.  A man at a table for four next to us in the Restaurant was kind of a braggadocio.  He kept talking about how he had the package and it was great and he wouldn’t drink the included wine.  So, someone at his table suggested he buy a bottle and share.  He thought about this for a few seconds, realized he would by footing the bill for his entire table and back-pedaled.  He told everyone to get their included wine and he and his wife had their wine off the package.  What a buffoon.

We Italians call this “Alligator Arms,”  as in a cheap person with arms too short to reach for a check.

Very specific question -- if we have silver spirits and others don't, can we buy the bottle at 30% off and share the wine with those others? Or do they get fussy?

I echo that Viking would not care once the bottle was "purchased" who drank it.

If you are talking about friends that you are travelling with that you want to share with, sure, but as others are suggesting, it is you that if footing the bill for their wine.

On our river cruise last year there were six of us. One couple had a package. They ordered the wine every night, and we found out how much it was and sent the people with the package our third of the cost online (we used Apple Pay because we all had iPhones). Great deal for all of us.

Note: The 30% discount is for bottles over $50.

I think once you buy a bottle it’s yours to do with as you wish.

Its yours to drink at the restaurant, in a lounge, on your balcony with whomever you wish.  However i don't think V would take kindly to ordering individual drinks for others.

Agree about ordering cocktails for the table. Even with a wine, especially if a person ordered additional bottles for the table.

Yes you certainly can.  Have done it a bunch.  Have to use pesky OBC on something....🍷

But then you would have to eat every meal with the same old group......  Ewwwww.....🥃

Then the table mates are not drinking Vikings included wines.  Saving them some wine expense.  You can bet Viking has worked the details out.
