1965 Posted July 18 #1 Share Posted July 18 If cruising to Alaska roundtrip from Seattle how is customs handled for the stop in Victoria? Tia.
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted July 18 #2 Share Posted July 18 I would assume (?) that it would be handled the same as our port call to Canada on the American Heritage cruise last month. We just had a form to fill out for Canada. However, for our return into the US we had to physically see US Customs agent on the ship before we could get off in Boston. Rare 1025cruise Posted July 18 #3 Share Posted July 18 You will go through US Immigration when you return to Seattle.
Teechur Posted July 18 #4 Share Posted July 18 (edited) On July 4th, I flew from Montreal to Denver, then Denver to Maui. We went through U.S. Customs at Montreal Airport and didn't have any customs in Denver. All of the major Canadian airports offering U.S. bound flights have U.S. Customs there. Very convenient! Rare BeforeSunsetLemonade Posted July 18 #5 Share Posted July 18 (edited) On July 13, 2024, we disembarked from a 7-day Alaska cruise round trip from Seattle, with a stop in Victoria. On the second day of the cruise, we received the Canadian customs form to fill out and return to our cabin steward within two days. Once in Victoria, we did not go through any customs or border check to enter into Canada. On the way back to the ship, we just had to swipe our medallion. In Seattle, we proceeded directly out of the terminal with no stops at customs or border check. There were no facial recognition devices, nor did we have to stop and show our passports. Exactly same scenario for us Victoria July 6, Seattle July 7. Filled out a form day 2 of our cruise, medallion off and medallion at the gate in Victory to return to the ship, No customs check or forms in Seattle.
