Hmc Cabana Question

Hi all;

 

very much looking forward to the "Z", and the cabanas on HMC.

 

We have reserved the Pink and Green Cabanas.

 

My mom is 80years old....is there transportation to the cabanas?, and are there washrooms nearby....

 

We have booked 2 butlers so the buffet is not a problem, nor will be drinks.

 

any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

there is transportation on a road that runs parallel to the ocean just behind the cabanas -- but there is still some walking involved -- you might be able to sang a beach wheelchair --- but it would be better if your mom had some mobility for short walks on sand and up a few stairs

There is transportation to the Cabanas. Let the front desk know your situation and they will arrange transportation via an open air bus. This will take your party to the end of the walk, where a beach wheelchair will transport your mother to the Cabana. These chairs can also go into the water, but are very difficult to handle.

 

Last year my sister fell during rough seas and sprained her ankle. The ship MD put her in a soft cast and advised her to stay off her feet. She was devastated, as we had a Cabana booked for the following morning. The front desk made all the arrangements for special transportation on the Island.

 

We had a wonderful time, wish we could join you! My favorite part of that cabana experience was laying on the lounge chairs, as a fine mist of water cooled me.:cool:
