Rare Lionesss Posted September 13 Author #329 Share Posted September 13 So after dinner. I went on a mission. I went Duck hunting. Looked at all the places that I thought would be a good hiding place. No luck finding a duck. 😔

Rare Lionesss Posted September 13 Author #331 Share Posted September 13 Tonights’s menu. The Royal Night. Aka lobster night. With RCI having the reputation for small lobster tails and if you want any additional their is a charge of $16.99 Per tail. HMMMMMMM So we bit the bullet. The spouse ordered 2 entres The lobster and Chicken Marsala. I ordered the lobster. We would share the Marsala. I know. I’m funny. The Marsala looked so good that I decided to just have it. I gave that other lobster tale to him. I knew he would enjoy. 😉 Geeee whiz by golly. He did not have to pay the upcharge. Lobster Chicken Marsala Be. Safe.

Rare Lionesss Posted September 13 Author #333 Share Posted September 13 Beverages on the ship encompass a wide range of choices from water - all the way up to the best of the best champagnes to the Louis XIII the most expensive cognac. Well you can also be like a Virgin and order a mocktail. That’s we we didn’t do. Cheers to a frozen Strawberry Daiquiri.
Rare Lionesss Posted September 14 Author #334 Share Posted September 14 Try to look closely under the 3 and right above my hand. I never knew the elevators identify which floors they go to. Why? Due to the different rooms surrounding areas where an elevator should go to some only make it to deck 11. Found out something new. Speaking of elevators, when we were outside the main dining room this elevator flashed ———first emergency—- then showed priority service. Yes the elevators were crowded at times. But never waited more than 5 min to get one.
Rare Lionesss Posted September 14 Author #335 Share Posted September 14 Cruise Review of Casino experience. I have many Sue-isms and routines when on a cruise. Many are practically carved in stone. I only gamble on slots when cruising and that will have been 2 cruises this year. I will spend time after dinner in the casino. Especially on the first night. The slots tend to be kinder. And yes I got a hand pay that night. Thank you Miss Freedom. Also. If I’m winning on a machine, the spouse checks on me and gives me a break to “P” and walk frequently. ( I have restless legs, walking helps). I also budget my money. Once it’s gone. I am gone. I will never play slots on the last night. Just never did. If I order a drink I tip the waiter. So This cruise for playing long enough to earn an 8 night cruise in a junior suite on Oasis, $1500 in casino credit on that cruise and $600 to spend on this sailing (any form of alcohol purchases not eligible) I broke even in the balancing of the budget. So in essence I used my cash to gamble and earned me those benefits. I can handle that. But. RCI knows some like to gamble. And the maximum amount you can charge to your cabin a day is $5,000. That’s a lot of gambling. If I ever did that my spouse would attend a burial at sea———- MINE. This cruise. The shows are great. The one headliner got sick so the dance/singer team put on a musical on a 3 day notice. So there. Was always something to do besides gamble. This cruise. I actually had enough time gambling. Taking the money home which would have been used tonight. I did not want to go. On a side note. I used to do Ohio scratch off lottery tickets. But stopped that. They have goofy ones that don’t interest me so that money goes into cruise fund ($40. A month). Be safe.

Rare Lionesss Posted September 14 Author #341 Share Posted September 14 UPDATE ON JAMAICA. The couple we met and buddied up with on the cruise spoke with the lady whose husband passed away on the excursion. To start with while our friend was waiting in line in the windjammer for stir fry the couple behind them were discussing it. They were on same excursion. So when she went back to her table outside by sprinkles soft serve she told her husband. Then the lady at the next table came over and said she heard what they were discussing. She politely goes that was my husband. -She proceeded to share what happened. -Her husband was 52 years old -He was on a water structure trampoline -He did a big back flip and ended up in the water. -He knew he inhaled sea water -decided to get to shore -on land told his wife what happened - collapsed -ambulance to hospital -pronounced Then she goes -she was interviewed by police and was asked if she saw anyone pull him under -she said no Then she was told of the process of returning him back home to Utah. It is a police investigation It is also a coroners case; by the time the official autopsy report and toxicology results come back it will take at least 4 weeks. They advised her that there is nothing for her to do until the body released. It was recommended she plan on going home and getting in touch with funeral home to make arrangements for transfer him home when body released. She said : since there is nothing she can do, she and her 8 year old son will continue on cruise and go home. They felt so overwhelmed by her situation. And her poor son losing his father. Prayers to the family. 4

It will interesting on my cruise because I can do all the walking but I will probably not watch my diet and I do like my cocktails. I will try to drink more water though. I have been dieting for the last year and have lost 60 pounds so I am entitled to blow it for 1 week.
Rare Lionesss Posted September 14 Author #348 Share Posted September 14 (edited) I will say this. I really only averaged 1-2 drinks a night. Controlled my food intake. But MDR portions are smaller. And do not offer shrimp cocktail every night. It is probably the exact same food served in dining room and Coastal Kitchen. But. I MISS COASTAL KITCHEN. The MDR is nice. Waiters are AWESOME. But Just not the same. Guess we will have to wait till March. Be safe. Edited September 14 by Lionesss
