Looking for input on cabin C742?   Currently booked in this cabin, however in the description of the cabin, it has a notation about the balcony door being blocked when the upper bed berth, or the pull out couch is open.  Does this mean that you cannot use the balcony at all?  Anyone who has stayed in this cabin?  TIA

In cabins where the sofa sleeper blocks the balcony door when open. If someone is sleeping at the time you want to go outside you have to sneak around and maybe crawl over the bed. If bed is put back to a sofa there should not be an issue. Not familiar with this cabin just from knowing others like it

You have a nice Deluxe Balcony, Wake-View!

If you are traveling with more than two in the cabin, yes, there is a bit of an issue when the extra beds are set up.  Never an issue with two in a cabin.

Here is a recent thread with info and photos.

This cabin is listed as being capable of booking for 4 people. There is not only a bed using the sofa but also an upper berth that pulls down from the ceiling. Either one will make it difficult to use the balcony door when they are deployed. The steward can put them back out of the way during the day.

if both are deployed at the same time - yes.

If the upper berth is deployed alone, and you are able to duck under around 4.5-5', you are fine.

If the sofa bed is deployed, but you can climb over, it's sort of ok. It will wake up the person sleeping in it.

Don’t know why you are quoting me and adding a link with my name?

she posted a link to a recent thread with the same discussion and photos. Why is this a problem? You simply get notified if somebody posts a link to your post.
