Lisbon: transportation from airport to hotel

First time cruising out of Lisbon, flying in two days early. Looking for transportation recommendations from the airport to our hotel.

The main airport is only 4 miles from the city centre, so if your hotel is in the centre its not worth using public transport.

 

Take a taxi from the official rank, or contact the hotel and see if they will arrange a private pick up for you.

We've done a taxi and we've done "Welcome Pickups" and we've done Uber/Lyft.

They all work fine.

we took Uber back in 2019 as it was a lot cheaper than taxis. They will be out in the car park area on the side of the airport. Just ask if you can't find the area. Everyone knows it. We took Uber all over Portugal in 2019 for almost 3 weeks except for trains between cities. No issues.

Lisbon airport is well served by several transort options.

 

This is a copy/paste of a post I put on very recently in response to an identical question and there may be options you have not yet considered.

 

You chould look at the Lisbon Airport website which has a section on "how to get to/from the airport" (I think almost every international airport in the world has this)listing all the options  including  taxis, metro, public bus, airport shuttle bus etc. and looking at the options should help you decide.

Excellent points!  Better to teach people how to look things up and be self-sufficient.

Too many just rely on using social media without any personal research.
