Sascol Posted September 5 #51 Share Posted September 5 FOUR in this cabin. Oh gosh. Seems like you know what you’re getting into but I could not comprehend that.

Violates the SOLAS plan for the ship. Try to get your TA to eat any change fees, the TA knew how many were in your party. How is it even possible to book it this way? It actually asks you during the booking process how many passengers you are sailing with. I just did a mock booking for Reflection. When I entered 2 adults and 2 children it only offered me a room that had the square and triangle. When I changed it to 2 adults and 1 child it offered me both the rooms with just a square and the rooms with a square and triangle. I can't imagine how there could be a screw up. Rare Scottishclover Posted September 6 #53 Share Posted September 6 OP, please don’t let everyone saying “I couldn’t do it” put you off! We’ve done a couple of 12 nights 4 in an inside cabin with our 19 and 21 year olds ( although Edge class) and it’s absolutely fine. Our daughters are petite mind you so if you have big, burly lads that may be different. We only use the cabin to sleep and get changed so the savings to be had really weigh out the inconvenience. We normally use the money saved to pay for a really great experience in the ports. For just 3 days it’s a no brainier. TIPS: 1) Some kind of magnetic wall organiser /hangers is handy. 2) Nobody is allowed to leave clothes/shoes lying around to clutter up the remaining available space. 3)Stagger getting ready for dinner. We usually have a drink while our daughters get ready and then we swap. Our next cruise we have 2 rooms as it was cheaper than 4 in a room due to the offer when we booked. Something to look out for in future - don’t always assume everyone in the same room is cheaper. I’m sure you’ll make it work for you and have a great cruise😎

I just wanted to know the type of berth for the 4th person, I have confirmed it is a trundle. People assumed it was a 3 person room sold to us on error. We appreciate all the input we get even the negative. We have no worry about the tight space, we have done worse over the years. We have no doubts it will be a lot of fun. We will likely laugh about how cramped the room is for years. It’s OK. We did run the price for 3 rooms, this was a 3rd and 4 th person free (only port and tax) so it was a significant difference. Like you, we don’t spend much time in the room and we will use the savings for shore side experiences.
imescaping Posted September 9 Author #55 Share Posted September 9 Thanks everyone for the input. I won’t be continuing to monitor the thread for now. Juggling too much right now. We are happy with our stateroom and its location. This is a 4 person room with a sofa and trundle. We are excited and not worried about the tight space. I will review the stateroom and our experience after the cruise. on a side note, the TA, offered us several available staterooms, WE chose these 2 due to location and because 2 were close together. (One room between).
