MonikaJ42 Posted September 13 #1 Share Posted September 13 Hi all, my mother just recently was advised not to travel without insurance as she has some preexisting conditions. We are looking at some providers and what BCAA offers looks good on paper but we all know its a different story when you submit a claim... does anyone have any experience with BCAA? Again thank you in advance for being so helpful! Happy Cruising!

I know you cruise quite often with Princess, on lengthy cruises and was just curious. I hope I am not being too personal. Thank you

Rare sunviking90 Posted September 14 #5 Share Posted September 14 You may want to go over to the Canadian Cruisers forum. There is usually quite a lot of info on there re insurance, and someone there may have experience with BCAA in particular. As far as I know the Princess policy is no longer available to Canadians.

Again thank you in advance for being so helpful! Happy Cruising! Some very good advice has already been provided. If you are concerned about coverage for preexisting conditions, or anything else, I would strongly suggest you talk directly to BCAA regarding coverage limitations. Remember, we can share advice and experiences. We will not be the ones approving or denying a claim.

He would know what may be available in Canada and give you recommendations.
MonikaJ42 Posted September 14 Author #8 Share Posted September 14 Thank you everyone for your comments/advice. We are doing our research and its down to either BCAA or Tugo Insurance. Right now Tugo is looking better as BCAA is done by Global Excel which has brutal reviews. Thanks again! 1

Global Excel is brutal. Good that you researched to find that out. Unfortunately many insurance companies are using them to help process their claims. Most of the credit card travel insurance in Canada is also processed by them.
