rsail203 Posted September 22 #1 Share Posted September 22 The cost of the non-alcoholic drink package is $20 a day. What is the cost of a can of soda? If I get 4 sodas a day, I don't think I can justify the package.
Até Posted September 22 #2 Share Posted September 22 (edited) On recent US sailings a can of soda was $3.50, they used to be $3.25 from the minibar but that may have gone up. Non alcoholic covers much more than soda. This Package Includes: Non-alcoholic cocktails Fresh fruit cocktails and protein shakes Energy sports drinks Flavored water Fruit juice (by the glass & bottled) Sodas (by the glass & bottled) Wide range of hot drinks (coffees) Soft ice cream ETA: Also bottled waters. rsail203 Posted September 22 Author #3 Share Posted September 22 Thank you. I don't drink any of the others on the list. So, if I only have soda, I would need about 5 a day to break even.
DorothyB Posted September 23 #4 Share Posted September 23 I opted out of the drink package because I mostly drink Dr Pepper (max 3 per day but not normally that many) and maybe two strawberry daquiris (either virgin or regular) during the cruise. MonsterJoe Posted September 23 #5 Share Posted September 23 (edited) It doesn't cover the NA package, but I found this, for anyone else who is interested. https://www.cruisegear.com/msc-cruises-drink-calculator/ Edited September 23 by MonsterJoe

There's a giant Mega mart in Cozumel, but any port will have sodas for "normal-ish" six pack prices. Enjoy!
rsail203 Posted Tuesday at 12:59 AM Author #7 Share Posted Tuesday at 12:59 AM Morgsmom--I asked Customer Service if I could bring any sodas on during embarkation and they told me it wasn't allowed. Are you sure they can be brought aboard at a port of call? Also, when you first board on embarkation day, are you allowed to drop off luggage in your cabin? I'm sailing on the Meraviglia in October. Not sure if you can bring them on board at ports of call.
