I have two kids 17 year old booked in their own cabin, we leave on 3rd october, and I am unable to get them checked in, The website says ask an adult to book them in ,

I have no option to book them in under my reference, getting through is next to impossible, anyone any ideas how i get them checked in so i can get to boarding passes?

I think that P&O don't allow minors to have a cabin of their own. You may have to fudge it and pretend each cabin has one adult and one minor in it, then just swap cruise cards on board. I'm assuming an adult made the original booking and booked two cabins and you didn't have to specify who was occupying each cabin.

They allow over 16s to have, but there's a known error with website apparently that won't allow Check in till 18, I'm currently waiting for a response tomorrow after finally speaking to them after a 2.5 HR hold

Ah the infamous P&O IT  dept.🤣

I have had boarding pass on the phone but could not get the phone to work due to wi fi not being available on my phone at the terminal. Fortunately I had a print out of the booking confirmation showing cabin number and  all other details.  The check in lady was happy to accept this evidence in conjunction with my passport.  I think they have all the information on their cruise line crew access website so know if you are bona fide and confirm your presented information with their monitor. I had not planned this it simply evolved due to circumstances. There may be an issue due to two seventeen year old passengers cohabiting a cabin in your scenario.

This is interesting that you have managed to get two 16's in a room?

Currently have a big family cruise booked next year (about 15 of us, due to a birthday)

My Son and his girlfriend are to occupy a room, at the time they will be both late 17. And yes we had to fudge the booking with p&o, so that my wife is in a room with the girlfriend and me with my son. there was no other way to book it
