Cat 11 wraparound deck question

I have that cabin booked for our Miracle cruise in February!! I've read that the lower 11's are actually better because you have more usable balcony space. As you get higher up, the railings tilt in more, so you lose space on the balcony. Hope that helps!

The cabin and the balcony for 4228 on the Pride is beautiful, BUT... We did not get any sleep the first night. The noise from the engine was horrible and the vibration was like we were on an airplane in horrible turbulence. We actually had to unplug the phones so that they would stop bouncing around. At first, we thought we would never, ever take this cabin again. But, after a week in 4228, we decided that we would lose some sleep rather than take a cabin without the wraparound balcony. However, first we will try to get a cabin one or two decks up to hopefully reduce the noise and vibration.

I had #4228 on both the Pride and Legend and would take it again in a heartbeat. They are also the best decks out of all of them. You have more overhang from above but still can get sun if you want. I have photos of the balcony on my webshots link below. By the way I had no problem with noise. There was some motion but I like that.

Just got back from our Miracle cruise. We had cabin 4237..this is the wrap around on the other side of the ship. We did feel some vibration, but it didn't bother us at all..in fact in was rather soothing! Most of the vibration was when we were leaving a port. The balcony is HUGE and wonderful! The only thing is the balcony didn't get much sun, so if you want to sunbathe you will have to go up to the Lido Deck or wherever. However, I took a nap out on the balcony every afternoon before dinner..so soothing watching the wake and drifting off to sleep! I didn't mind being on deck 4 at all, it was very handy to go down to the the public spaces on deck 3 and 2, and a just a quick elevator trip up to the Lido deck.

I say go for it!

Gordon,

Did you sail out of Miami rather than Long Beach? That might be the difference in our experience. The pursor kept telling us things would improve once we reached calmer waters. And we did notice quite a change once we got south of Cabo. The noise and vibration started up again on the way home onc we got north of Cabo.

I sailed out of Pt Canaveral on the Pride and had very rough seas due to high winds. On the Legend I sailed out of Ft. Lauderdale.
