scdreamer Posted April 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2006 I apologize in advance if this particular question has been answered infinitum, but I haven't been able to track down a definitive answer with the "search" feature. I know you can bring wine on board if you are willing to pay a $15/per bottle corkage fee. That said - do they keep the wine and only allow you to have it during a meal? Or can you have it in your cabin? I often enjoy a glass of wine while unwinding and getting ready for dinner. Should we just go ahead and bring the wine to check-in, pay the fee, and then we can take it directly to our cabin?
4 of Harts Posted April 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2006 Check into ordering it thru NCL. That way it'll be chilled (depending on the wine of course) or at least available in your cabin. I ordered a bottle and it was chilled waiting for me in my cabin when I arrived. We ended up sending it to a specialty restaurant and had it with dinner. If it is a special bottle, pay the $15. Otherwise check out the pricing/availability as you may get it at a similiar price without lugging it with you and doing the corkage thing. Good luck, enjoy. immargaret Posted April 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2006 Once you pay the $15 corkage fee you can drink the wine in your cabin, or bring it to a restaurant (with the receipt) and drink it there. Also if you purchase a bottle in a restaurant and don't finish it there you can take it back to your cabin, or have them store it for consumption another time in the same of different restaurant.
