joannetk Posted April 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2006 We are looking at Adventure of the Seas in August, Junior Suites on deck 6 or 7. The numbers are 7392, 6694, 6692, or 6394. We were interested in D1, but there are none available on this sailing. I would appreciate any information about these cabins. I have heard that the balconies from above can look down into the lower balconies. We are looking at August 20th.
Aprille Posted April 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Let me start out by saying I have never sailed on a Voyager class ship but I am an aft cabin lover and have researched aft cabins on all classes. Deck 6 aft cabins on Voyager class are not desirable. There is an extension beyond the balconies on that deck that is the crew recreation area. Although a lot of people have posted that they have never seen crew there it is still an interference to the view. Also there is a lot of superstructure on the back of Voyager class ships that somewhat interferes with the view and it's worse the lower the deck. I have read positive reviews on dec 7 aft cabins but the higher the better. Of the cabins you listed 7392 is definitely the better option. Here is a link to photos that shows the superstructure, extended area on deck 6 and how those on balconies above can see balconies below: Voyager Class aft photos
joannetk Posted April 12, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Thanks, we actually have a deck 10 aft cabin booked for November, but will probably have to cancel due to scheduling conflicts, which is why we are looking for something else. This was the best available on this cruise from the website. Maybe, if I call directly, there might be other cabins available that are not listed on the website. bailey2004 Posted April 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2006 I had to call to see the aft cabins available for us. They did not come up on the website.
Aprille Posted April 12, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Yes, by all means, call back! Not all available cabins come up on the website. I have always called directly to book my aft cabins.
