upgrade to suite worth it?

Hi,

Our TA just called and offered us a upgrade from a Balcony to a Suite for 1000. Is it worth it?

Were on the Spirit out of NY on the 30th.

Thanks.

As others will tell you, Upsell, not Upgrade. And from reading previous posts, I think they will have more questions, like is that PP, or is that total, is it something that you are interested in, from what I heard, a Suite is a wonderful thing, but I have only really done inside cabins, so I can't really know. But, if you want it, I say go for it :D

ohh..sorry..upsell.

yes, it was 500 pp so 1000 total. no charge for my 2 yr old son.

i know it comes with a butler too but what else is really included in services?

i've only been on a balcony once before on the sun and i really liked that.

i told my TA to call back and offer 500 total to see what they say.

thanks.

We were on the Dawn on 3/26 for the 11 day sailing. We took an upsell from a BA balcony to an AE Penthouse Suite for $300.00 pp. I know it is not the same ship but the price point might help. For us it was worth it. What type of a Suite is it?

sorry for the double posts.

we declined the 500 pp so they came down to 300 pp/600 total so we took it.

seems like a good deal to me. room 10012

i've never had this size or room let alone the service. is it really that much different? I can't wait now...

thanks for all the comments.

We were on the spirit in suite 10502, loved every minute of it! The Butler was awesome. Goodies in our cabin every afternoon, two balconies, the works.

Going on the Sun this September in a mini suite, be hard to go back to that compared to being spoilt with the suite we had on the Spirit, ha! Enjoy!!!!!!!!

We went from a mini to a penthouse for $400 each. Grabbed it! Loved it! Want it!

I would be hard pressed to give up my mini on the Jewel (11152) for a penthouse - I love the location of our mini. I dunno, I really enjoy the penthouse. I seriously doubt I'll get offered anything on the Jewel.

I can wish.

We just were offered (and took) and upsell from BC balcony to mini for $175 per person - thought about holding out but thought the extra room would be nice - so why wait and risk losing it.
