Kindlychap Posted April 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2006 I believe they have plenty on board, so you won't need to take any. Having said that, judging by Arcadia, don't expect much in the way of interest on the wine list......
annieuk Posted April 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2006 If you are on Oceana, Arcadia, Artemis, Oriana or Aurora yes you can take alcohol on board or you can buy it when ashore on your trip and take it back on the ship. We usually take gin and whisky when we go on our cruise. The prices on board are reasonable I think, but what tends to be expensive are mixers, tonics, cokes etc. I would think of taking some with you or buying it ashore. Unlike many other cruise lines your belongings are not searched for alcohol when you go aboard. Hope this helps. Annie:)
libra-sue Posted April 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2006 The confusion on this Pando site seems to be ; the Aussie ships CAN'T take booze on board and the BRITS can... I am a regular on Pando UK site and you definatly can. I intend to take a wine box in my hand lugguge - a small case on wheels, for in-cabin drinking only of course NOT any where else on the ship. We have a balcony cabin and are sailing to the Canaries in 3 weeks time on Arcadia, and it will be lovely to sit out on the balcony and have a glass of wine pre- and post dinner.;) I have read on this site that this is not possible on the Aussie ships..? aussiedisneyfan Posted April 18, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2006 On the Aussie ships in January they introduced a new policy that won't allow us to bring alcohol onboard. Seems to be a bit of a hit and miss as to the policing of this. We took alcohol on our cruises in our luggage and carry on too.
