Anyone ever been in cabin E168? If so, is there any noise from the galley above? DH says we shouldn't be able to hear them so much, but i couldn't imagine a pan catching fire and burning my sleeping bootie through their ceiling:eek: . Hopefully we shouldn't hear them so much. Thanks for any answers and info you can give us:)

Ships have sophisticated fire systems, since fire is the greatest danger at sea. I imagine the galley and engine room are probably the most heavily fire-controlled areas. I would not worry about that. Probably more danger from a cigarette tossed overboard.

I don't think the galley will be too noisy while you are sleeping - it is also when a lot of the kitchen staff sleeps too.
