Wilwant247 Posted April 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2006 We are sailing on Carnival in May. Is there a jitney in Freeport running to Lucaya?? We are a family of 6 and I hate to think of paying $5 each both ways. We want to go to the Sheraton beach area and take the kids on a banana boat ride. Anyone done that? Thanks in advance for any input...
Wilwant247 Posted April 25, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted April 25, 2006 Just in case anyone else is wondering...... I found this FAQ on http://www.grand-bahama.com/faqtransportation.htm Do you have public buses? What is the cost and frequency? Yes we do have public buses that operate from 7 a.m. to sunset. The regular route is from the downtown area to the International Bazaar and Port Lucaya Marketplace, our two main shopping areas, but there is also service to the outlying areas of West End and East End. The one-way fare is $1.00 within the Freeport/Lucaya area; $1.50 to Eight Mile Rock; $4.00 to West End; $8.00 to McLean's Town. Exact change is required. Looking for some kind of map, to find a reference now............
