Tipping on the CP

Tips are NOT included in the cruise price. That would be nice. However, Princess does charge a $10 daily charge to your onboard account to cover tips. You can take them off and hand out your tips the "old fashioned way". But really this makes it easier, IMHO, and we plan to tip individually those we feel have gone above and beyond an extra tip.

The 10 dollars that Princess puts on your onboard account is per person/per day. You can ask at the Purser's desk to have the tip removed from your account and then tip the staff personally if you so choose.

It is probably better for the staff if you choose to leave the automatic tip on your account. That tip is pooled. If you take the auto tip off your account and tip personally the staff member must turn in that tip to be pooled too. If you leave the auto tip in place and feel your server deserves more hand that amount to him. He will then be able to keep the extra.

Hope this is not too confusing when you are reading it. It was confusing to write! :D
