On-Board Liqour Store?

Recommended Posts

The last cruise I was on (Royal Caribbean) had an on-board liqour store where you could buy bottles of liquor.

The prices were discounted (duty free) but they wouldn't deliver the bottle to your room until the last night of the cruise, BUT...

YOU COULD pay the full (non-discounted, non-duty-free) price and take the bottle right away. I can't remember for sure but I think the prices were a little higher than regular liqour store prices, but much cheaper than paying by the glass.

Anybody know if there's a liqour store on the Fantasy? I'd much rather pay an extra $10-$20 for a bottle so I don't have to go through the whole smuggling thing. Not to mention I don't want to lug a bottle in my suitcase. I want a bottle for my room/balcony.

Duty free/Last day only. BTW, you can't do that on RCI anymore either.

You can call the Carnival Bon Voyage department before your cruise and have a bottle delivered to your room. Prices are between $40 and $50 depending on what you order.

Are they still doing that? I thought I read a thread where someone said they don't deliver liqour or beer anymore? Or was that some other service to which they were referring?

Thanks BD!

I also read somewhere that you can not have the liquor delivered to your room through Bon Voyage anymore.

This could be confusing. There WAS an outside delivery company called "Bon Voyage". Has nothing to do w/Carnival's Bon Voyage department.;)

I'm cruising on the Miracle this sunday and just ordered a bottle of Absolut for $40 today directly through Carnival's Bon Voyage dept. It's not an option on the website, but it should be no problem if you call.
