From the Pier to Ft. Lauderdale Airport

I am going on the Feb. 19 sailing of the Enchantment. How long does it take to go by taxi to from the Ft. L Pier to the Ft. L airport? How much would it be by taxi? And what time do you typically disembark the Enchantment?

i've heard that the cost of the taxi is about $10-12. the pier is only a mile or so from port everglades

Taking a taxi is much quicker, easier and much less hassle than the cruise line transfer.
