Can you connect a laptop/portable DVD player to the TV in the room by cable?

Depends on the ship...we could not do it on the Millennium (at least not in our cabin) but could on the Xpedition.... Hoping to be able to do so on the Mercury coming up...

Century, Galaxy, and Mercury cabins have SONY TVs which have front panel inputs that will accept RCA jacks for DVD players, etc.

 

Millennium class ships (and Zenith) have Philips TVs that do not accept RCA jacks.

Not all of the tv’s have RCA inputs or S-Video. You may need to use a RF modulator to convert to a coaxial type connection to the back of your TV. If your room has a VCR most of them do not have S-Video inputs. But the VCR will have RCA inputs.

Hope this will help. Remember to bring extra cables you may need them.
