gratefulguy Posted July 6, 2006 #26 Share Posted July 6, 2006 As Tero (from Helsinki) mentioned, there are several possible pier locations in many of the Baltic ports--you don't always wind up "in town". The larger ships are often at the cargo ports, which can be farther and more time consuming than the ferry ports. The Constellation (7/29 sailing) docks at the Muuga port in Tallinn, not the ones near town. Even the same ship docks in different places on different itineraries! Sometimes it's not easy to find out for sure (even from CruiseCal or the cruise line) which dock. So, have a "Plan B". The transportation is usually good, but not always the line # you were expecting. Some of the ports have web-sites which show the different piers and the transport options for each, but many guide books don't include info for arriving cruise ship passengers. Oh well, we'll get there eventually!
