Tour companies

I've been researching other tour companies other than what NCL offers. Is there one or several that people have used to book excursions??. I've called a couple and they seem not to pick you up at the cruise ship dock. Are there any that do and if not, how might you work transportation to where they would pick you up. Is this feaseable??. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Could you please give us more detailed info? Which islands/ports? What kind of tours? That really does make a difference. Each port is different regarding availability and recommendations.
