sunprincess Posted June 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Are tables for 2 available in the anytime dining rooms on the CB? Yes - I would pay the Maitre D a visit to make a standing reservation for one. Enjoy your cruise :)
Host Caroline Posted June 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2006 A couple we cruised with last year wanted table for 2 at night and had little trouble getting in or with it taking very long.. they would go and sign in and get the little "light up" or vibrating thing-y and go get a drink.. said they never waited more than 15 minutes... no matter when they went

Redsgj Posted June 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2006 We were on the CB in January. We usually went for dinner around 7:30 to the Palm Dining Room...... never had to wait once for a table for two.
envy4u Posted June 12, 2006 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2006 We were on the Dawn last month and I found if you are doing anytime dining either go early or ask for a table for 4 . We did and never did anyone else join us until.... we made friends with another couple towards the end of our cruise and they wanted to join us because Jorges our maitre d was so attentive to us and made us special entrees not offered on the menu ....so we ended up having the table for 4 filled . Sandytoes Posted June 13, 2006 #9 Share Posted June 13, 2006 After the second night of dining, we found a waiter we liked. So, Everynight we would call ahead and reserve Carlo's area. Table for 2. We never had nor have any problems getting a table for 2. Don't worry.
tennisobo Posted June 13, 2006 #10 Share Posted June 13, 2006 If by CB you mean the Caribbean Princess we often got a table for two in the Palm dining room. They even have a few by aft windows which give you a lovely view to enjoy during dinner.
MaryPoppinz Posted June 13, 2006 #11 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Shhh, Tennisobo.....stop telling people about my table! ;) I love those tables for two back there!
IKE Posted June 13, 2006 #12 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Table for 2 on the Caribbean Princess in the Palm Dining Room was never a problem for us. We always got one every evening without a reservation. This is the larger of the 2 Anytime Dining Rooms. The smaller "Coral" We waited about 15 minutes. Most nights went to the Palm. I am sure You will not have a problem.
pearlygrl9 Posted June 13, 2006 #13 Share Posted June 13, 2006 I've also been wondering about this for my honeymoon next year -- thanks for the replies. Also, I've heard some complaints that the tables for 2 are often VERY close together, so that it doesn't feel very private. Does anyone have any experience with this on the Caribbean Princess in the anytime dining rooms?
Sandytoes Posted June 14, 2006 #14 Share Posted June 14, 2006 yes, tables are extremely close. Like you're having dinner with them. That was the only draw back...
MaryPoppinz Posted June 14, 2006 #15 Share Posted June 14, 2006 I'm only telling this to YOU, honeymooner! Don't you dare tell anyone else, but those aft window tables for two in the Palm Dining Room...they are the usual distance from other tables and provide plenty of personal space. There are many tables for two that are uncomfortably close -- these are not. The only problem you will have is "Who gets the view of the wake tonight?"
