Anyone booked this hotel recently? I tried a couple different sites,orbitz,travelocity,etc. and it doesn't seem to come up?I've stayed there several times and just love it! Want to book for next April?

I was there a few months ago and I believe it was changing ownership.

I read here that the Marriott Marina has changed its name. I do not believe it is still a Marriott. I can't remember what the new name is. It's a perfect hotel for cruising out of Lauderdale.

I stand to be corrected, but my understanding is it is now the Ft. Lauderdale Grand Hotel and Yacht Club.

Very interesting.....I hope they don't change it too much,it is our absolute favorite place to hang out 2-3 days before cruising! I'll check it out! Thanks!

Has anyone tried to book this hotel thru hotwire,hotels.com,etc......last time we stayed there we got a great rate of around $79.00 per nite,I think thru hotwire.....the waterway rooms are about $300.00 a nite for April!

I was in FLL for a conference at the end of April and this was one of the conference hotels. My group was down the street at the Hyatt but a number of attendees stayed at the Grande. It got good reviews. They were told that the property is now owned by the same investors who own the Hyatt Pier 66 (first I knew that property was owned by anyone other than Hyatt Corp) and that it will be undergoing major renovations in the near future. I know it was badly damaged last year in the hurricane and I believe a lot of the tower rooms are still not available.

Which rooms face the ships? Harbour view versus Grande view versus Waterway view...
