Onboard booking credit for Diamond C&A

Recommended Posts

The onboard booking credit is the same for all passengers. The balcony discount is higher depending on your C&A status.

I believe the above poster is correct, 7-9 nights $100. :)

OK then what is the credit for 6 day cruises? I know 10-11 nights is $200, 5 nights and less is $50. Is 6-8 nights $100 then? Since you know all this, does the onboard booking credit go higher the $200? We might as well chart it for future reference. :)

Onboard credits are...

5 nights or less $ 50

6-8 nights $100

9 nights or more $200 that's the max... :)

I guess that means no extra shipboard credit for cruises of 14 days or more?

(Hi pbhunt, long time no sea (pun intended). Any cruises planned for this summer?)

Hi Rick! Nothing this summer, but 11 night E/B from Hawaii in October and 7 night Alaska in May. Both on Serenade. After sailing on Mariner last year, we decided we really like the Radiance class. :)

I see you finally sailed on Brilliance. I heard they dropped hot wings from the menu at the Seaview cafe though. Bummer. I'm sure it was a fabulous trip otherwise though. :D

OKay for the record, stockholders get a $200 shipboard credit on a 13 or 14 day cruise. If you book a new cruise while on board you get a $200. shipboard credit. No discounts, credits to be spent while on your next cruise. We have a total of $400 shipboard credit for our next cruise. This amount will be subtracted from your total shipboard bill. (so you can charge your tips, buy tour trips, pay your bar bill,, or whatever you want to do with it. You can also get money from the casino and the amount you get will be added to your bill, but if you want to just allow your shipboard credit to cover it)

RCCL Stockholders get onboard credit of $250 for sailings of 14 nights and longer.

Stockholder Credit:

$250 O/C for 14 nights or more

$200 O/C for 9-13 nights

$100 O/C for 6-8 nights

$50 O/C for 5 nights or less.

You would need another chart to list the Platinum/Diamond balcony discounts. The original question was about the onboard Booking credit for Diamond members. That information was posted earlier. The onboard booking credit amount is the same for all passengers. It is not dependent on C&A status. :)

I booked a 10 night Radiance cruise while on Mariner and I was platinum, so I got $200 of the cabin price. After the Mariner cruise, I became diamond. Does that mean I can call the C & A number and get more $$ off the Radiance cabin now?
YES!!! You should get another $100 off.

The $300 discount is for purchasing a verandah & being Diamond or Diamond +, but we are talking about folks who book onboard the ship & get $50-$200 depending on length of the cruise. Stockholders also get onboard credit of $50-$250 depending on length. RCCL VISA folks also get $100 & up depending on number of points they exchange for onboard credit.

So that all of them..........

I booked with rccl direct (not on board) for a 9 night in Sept and got $300 off as a diamond member.

Brenda............I understand the credit for onboard booking, and the discounts for C & A members, and stockholders, but have never looked into the RCCL VISA. Tell me more!

Okay...here is one for you pros. Say I book onboard and get the $100 onboard credit. I come home, and add a diamond C&A member to my reservation. Can we call RCI and get the balcony discount added (or *subtracted* as the case may be)?

Thanks,

T

Tracy - simple answer - yes. If there is a diamond member in the stateroom, the stateroom is entitled to the diamond discount. That's why we've booked myself in one room with our DIL, and DH in another room with our son - both cabins get diamond discount.

I've had clients book (not platinum members, just gold), then have found a roommate who is platinum to share with them, and stateroom was credited for platinum balcony discount.

I've never had a problem getting discount applied. I've done it many times, and never had a problem. If you booked directly with RCI, call Crown &Anchor and get discount applied. If you booked thru a TA, have them call.

Shouldn't be a problem.
