Hey ppl,

Im after a little advice. Im looking at doing an Alaskan cruise but also want to try a little skiing whilst over in North America as where im from in Australia there is no snow.

Can anyone let me know if it is possible to ski during the cruise seasons & if so where & any recomendations. I would like to go to Whistler but if not possible during the cruise period where else....

Any assistance would be great!!!!

Thanks

Unfortunatly to ski you need snow and cruises to Alaska all happen in the summer, hence, no snow. There are no ski resorts open during Alaska cruise season. Alaska, believe it or not, is too dry to get much new snow in the winter. Their average is not as high as you'd think. The lower 48, where the fabulous skiing is, don't keep their resorts open past the middle of April and that's in a good snow season.
