Park Department Pass

Several years ago we did a tour of the west (we are Easterners). We bought a National Parks Dept pass for $50.00, which allowed us to visit any of our countries national parks for free (with the pass of course). I see that Hawaii has many parks, are they considered National Parks and could you use a Parks Dept pass for them??

On Kauai, you can use the pass to get into the Kilauea Lighthouse (bird sanctuary) for free, that's one of my favorite places on earth.

Also Kilauea volcano above Hilo on the big island.

The arizona memorial is free anyway

Also Haleakala on Maui is a National Park and your National Parks Pass will work here as well.

Oh, and Oheo Gulch (the formerly known Seven Sacred Pools past Hana) is part of the Haleakala National Park and also charges entrance fees (though if you already paid at the summit of Haleakala and have the receipt, you won't need to pay again). Again the pass will work here as well.
