Secret Itinerary Tour - Doge's Palace

Recommended Posts

You can tour the Doge's palace without doing the Secret's tour but you won't be able to visit some of the areas that the tour visits even if you know how to get to them.

Have a great next cruise anyway.

I was not able to get a reservation for the Secret Tour. We will try and see if tickets become available (when we arrive). Can we do this tour on our own (with a guidebook)? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Debbie

You can tour the Doges Palace on your own, but you won't see any of the areas covered by the Secret Itineraries tour. Touring the palace (without the SI tour) is definitely worthwhile, though.

Debbie,

Turn up 15 minutes before the tours are due to start. There are only 3 a day. There are occasions where people do not turn up and they offer an unofficial wait list on a first come first served basis.

Go to the side door, facing the water. As yoou go in the ticket office is on the left and the Secret tour desk is on the right as you enter the door.

If you have no luck , then do the palace tour.

There are no guide books for the SI tour, It's secret... honest.

Dear Debbie,

We just returned on Thursday from our 12 night Med. cruise and had a terrific time. We did take the secret itinerary tour at the Doge's Palace. We booked through Select Italy several months before we left. Is that who you used as well? We also booked our reservation for admission to the Galleria dell' Accademia in Florence (to see the Statue of David) through Select Italy.

Hope you have a wonderful cruise! I can't recall you exact itinerary, but if you stop in Santorini make sure you visit Oia. It was truly breathtaking.

You know how to get in touch with me if you have any questions.

Take Care,

Nancy
