How often does Princess Charter its Ships?

I've been reading the HAL boards from time to time as DH and I are considering trying another line, not that we haven't been very happy with Princess, but Mom swears by HAL and we are curious.

Something has come up about HAL chartering its ships to groups and then bumping previously booked passengers. Do all cruise lines do this? Does Princess? I assume it happens more with the smaller ships. Is there a certain passenger capacity at which one could feel relatively safe from this? Or a certain time of year?

Or even worse (possibly) would be if 3/4 of the passengers are in the same group (though not technically a charter) and the rest of the passengers are not. Does this happen on Princess?
