Which Tampa Hotels?

Planning a 11 day cruise on Horizon, in late Jan.

 

Need to know "best value" hotels that are fairly close to Port of Tampa, either through a past experience or a strong familiarity with area.

 

As always, the Capt. appreciates your valued opinions.

I always have a car to leave and as the Tampa Port is not the safest place I always stay at the Doubletree Westshore. The have a shuttle to the port and a parking garage with sucurity where you can leave your car for up to 14 days. Just call them when you get back and they will pick you up.

I'm not sure if they are available on priceline as I usually have enough points for a room.
