can anyone tell me, what is the biggest ship on the water these days? thank you for your help.

I think that would be the Queen Mary 2 but there are many people on this board more knowledgeable on ships than I, so hopefully one of them will post to confirm or correct this statement.

A cruise magazine article that I have does show the QM2 to be the largest, longest and most expensive cruise ship. Tonnage is 150,000 grt and capacity is 2,620 passengers. A few other cruise ships actually carry more passengers, the Caribbean Princess being one of those and having a stated capacity of 3,100. The article goes on to say that Royal Caribbean is planning an even larger ship for 2006, the Ultra Voyager 1 at 160,000 grt and 3,600 passengers.

To be honest, we don't have a subscription to this magazine, only picked up an issue at the bookstore when we could hardly wait for our (then) upcoming cruise, but the title is Cruise Travel, web site [url]www.cruisetravelmag.com[/url].
