I just read on another board that chankanaub had to close during the week of june 19th because cozumel has had lots of rain (60 inches)--- is this true? Is it open now? We are doing the dolphin swim in 2 weeks---thanks Jill

Cozumel had tons of rain a while back. I think I read that there was more rain associated with the two tropical depressions that hit the island than there was with Hurricane Gilbert several years back. But, from what I've read recently the island is back to normal.

As for Chankanaab closing, I had read that they were closed because they had not paid either some tax or license fee but that they have since re-opened.

I read that it was only the dive operations at the park that had been closed for not paying taxes, not the captive dolphin program
