New York Cruise Port: Hotels

I would like to know about inexpensive hotels near the cruise port of new york preferrably in new jersey for the end of december that possibly have transfers to and from the port & can fit a family of 5 in 1 room & has free parking while you are on the cruise.

Good luck the only ones with free parking are at Newark airport and they won't transfer you to the ship. The best thing and cheapest is to drive that morning and park on the Pier. That way there is no hotel. Also the end of december is among the busiest time for hotels in NY so the sales will be few and far between.

You'll probably have limited luck, at best, finding a space large enough that is also cheap. Where is your home?
