swom Posted September 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Bring plenty of money. Grand Cayman is not like St Thomas and St Martin. You'll find no bargains there.

I disagree I bought my Seiko there and i had been shopping for more than one cruise. I think for what you getGrand Cayman is the better port. Not all diamonds and watches are the same. REVDONAUCTIONEER Posted September 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Spagirl83, There is plenty of shopping very near where you get off the Tender. Wedgewood has a shop there and plenty of jewelry shops. Don't know what you want but with in 1 mile either direction you will find it. My wife is 53 I am 59 we just walk in the three directions available and get everything we want or need. Don PS There is some bargining but not like Mexico. iancal Posted September 6, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Like everywhere else, know what you want (exact model number, etc because some manufactures cater to slight variations in product to assist retailers), know the price, understand what you are buying/warranty, and understand the price. Surprising how many people do not know these key items when making a large purchase on a cruise port stop.
sueandkent Posted September 6, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Like the others have said, the shopping is close to the tenders. If you're just shopping for basic souviners, t-shirts, etc then Grand Cayman is not really the best choice. If you're doing a Western itinerary the shopping in Mexico and Jamaica is better.
