cdnliving Posted September 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2006 Hello. We are considering this cruise based on the numerous good reviews on this site, however I have found it impossible to find a complete collection of interior photos. I have tried the princess website, webshots.com and cruiseclues. I have seen thousands of photos of peoples travels while on the ship, and a few photos of the atrium, pool, and rooms, but not much else. I am baffled as to why Princess doesnt allow you to see all the public areas on their website. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks... BTW, does anyone know if there is a basketball court, pingpong, pool tables on the Sun - the website mentions a sports court, but doesn't indicate what in fact this is. GloriaF Posted September 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2006 We will be on the Sun on Nov 30 - I have seen private photos of the balconies, which are cut from the hull so feel less open than the newer ships. I have been assured that we will love the Sun and I am really looking forward to being on a smaller and older ship such as the Sun. We found the Regal to be delightful. But we also enjoy the newer mega ships. My two favorite Princess ships thus far are Regal and Coral. The Princess website doesn't have a Virtual Tour under SHIPS of the Sun? I thought it did, but haven't checked lately. What date are you considering? I would encourage you to go for cruising on the Sun!

Been on the Dawn many times which is a sister of the Sun. The sports court / basketball court is behind the funnels (inside the framework). The ping pong is usually up in front of the pools under the overhangs to give some protection from the wind. Never seen a pool table on a Princess ship. A Sixth? Posted September 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2006 Was on the Sun this past January, loved it. Here are a few links to photos of our 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise on her. It's Club Photo (which can be unreliable) and there are over 300 pictures, organized into four albums. The links take you to contact sheets of upto 100 photos which you can check out quickly and call up the shots that interest you http://members14.clubphoto.com/don616070/4035799/guest.phtml http://members14.clubphoto.com/don616070/4030920/guest.phtml http://members14.clubphoto.com/don616070/4031435/guest.phtml http://members14.clubphoto.com/don616070/4031672/guest.phtml

JolleyRoger Posted September 25, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2006 This is a place for virtual tours. Awesome pictures... and it puts you right in the room with a 360 degree view. It has most of the public areas as well as all the cabin selections. Just scroll down until you find your ship. Enjoy! http://www.cengelhart.cruisesinc.com/travel/cruises/virtual_tours.jsp?pg=
