berylde Posted September 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2006 Is it possible to have dinner any night in SC suite with 2 guests? If so, do you order off of the Dining room menu? Or a room service menu. 12-2-
sail7seas Posted September 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2006 Yes.....you can dine 'en suite' with another couple if you wish. You have to place your order when the dining room is open for the earliest seating but can have it delivered at whatever time you wish. The concierge can place the order for you if you desire.....but it is easy enough to call room service yourself. Every morning you will receive a copy of the dinner menu delivered to your cabin. You can order off the dining room menu, the room service menu or both.
bepsf Posted September 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Possible, Yes - But I would not recommend it unless you were planning on dining outside on your verandah in good weather.* The interiors of the SC's (Aft-corner suites) are not conducive to indoor private dining with guests as they aren't much larger than an SS/SY category - the coffee table does not raise to dining height and there just isn't that much room between the foot of the bed and the sofa to accomodate a table and chairs. If you wish to throw a private dinner party, the Pinnacle is a much more suitable location.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Agree with bepsf -- cabin tinyinside -- low talble -- very hard to have a dinner for 4 inside. Even the tables on teh SA, SB, and SC verandahs are small on the Vista class ships compared to the R and S class ships.

The only accomodations truly suited to elegant ensuite dining are the PH's
sail7seas Posted September 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Dining for two is fine on the "SA" verandas but I agree anymore than that is not comfortable. The cabin isn't big enough they could bring you a portable table. They could on a ship other than Vista by moving the glass coffee table but not in a Vista. berylde Posted September 25, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Our first time on HAL. The cabin sounds big (510 sq. ft.) BUT not big enough for dinner for 4. Pinnacle does sound like it woud be better. Zuiderdam 12-2-
