Nextel in Hawaii

Can anyone tell me if my nextel is going to work in Hawaii, both the two way and cell? Thanks:confused:

Yes, A co-worker has done both from Hawaii to Massachusetts. She said that the cell phone charges may be high though, depending on your plan of course.

All major cell phone companies are represented in Hawaii. Nextel is no exception ... and yes, the walkie-talkie function works as well.

If you have their Nationwide direct connect, you will not be charged to use the Walkie Talkie feature! We had a group of 11 on the Aug. 5 cruise and 5 of us had NexTel, it was great. Of course, if you won't have coverage when you're out at sea, but on the islands, it's great. (no one has coverage way out at sea). Also, if you have free long distance, there's no charge to call. We called home several times and incurred no extra charges.
