Toto2Kansas Posted October 20, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2006 You can get just about anything, including the things you mentioned at the Havensighte Mall, no problem.
wrp96 Posted October 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2006 Yes, but you won't be docking at Havensight, you'll be at Crown Bay. Hopefully by the time you sail the Crown Bay shops will be open. If not you would be better off stopping at the downtown shops instead of going all the way over to Havensight.

chrysalis Posted October 20, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2006 How do you find out where you port on each island? usually it is the main city...if you list the islands, members here will tell you where the port is.
Fuzzzy Posted October 21, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 21, 2006 I wonder if all the Havensight merchants will move to the new area? :)
bluefintuna Posted October 21, 2006 #9 Share Posted October 21, 2006 We were at Crown Bay for the 9/30 cruise. All the stores are empty and nothing going on. Havensight is so much better, but you can get a cab for $4 per person or $4.50 to near Havensight. Personally going downtown was a waste of time; 9 out of 10 stores are high end jewelry stores, boring. My bil and his wife went to Emerald Beach about a mile or so from Crown Bay. It is called Lindberg Bay and is between the airport and Crown Bay. They said the beach was very nice and hardly anyone was there. No need to travel to the other side of St. Thomas to go to a nice beach.
kendon Posted October 21, 2006 #10 Share Posted October 21, 2006 There is a combo liquor store/supermarket at Havensight.
rjack22 Posted October 21, 2006 #11 Share Posted October 21, 2006 The Havensight merchants will not be moving because there are still plenty of ships docking there and always will be. Crown Bay is not a replacement for Havensight but rather an addition to it. Now some merchants "might" open a second location at Crown Bay. That remains to be seen. That remains to be seen. with the issue of flying and no liquids in carry-on, I suspect that liquor sales have plummeted at St Thomas and at St Maarten. It would be hard for a merchant to justify opening up such a specialty store at Crown Bay.
