Flying in the UK with disposable contact lens

Can anyone confirm if a week's supply of disposable contact lenses (packed in liquid solution) is permitted in and out of LHR?
No, not if you're flying from LHR. If you're flying to a UK airport from a non-UK airport, the rules applicable at your origin airport apply.

The more detailed poster on the BAA site says that this is permitted:-

Disposable contact lenses in sealed packaging, sufficient for flight (ie one or two pairs)
So a week's worth is outside the current rules.

But when are you flying? New rules are due to come into force on 6 November (next Monday). If you check again on Sunday, there should be more information about what they will mean.
