Guaranteed cabins???? When assigned?

We got our documents about 3 weeks ago, but there was no number for the cabin. It said not assigned yet. I looked at the immigration form and it listed 000. I may call HAL direct tomorrow and ask. Actually, I guess I really don't care just as long as we Go!! Just curious! We were on a Princess cruise last fall and a couple we met said they went guaranteed best cabin and got a suite!!!

Yes has happened too me on Princess did a guarantee and got a full Suite...I am doing it as well for my cruise in 3 weeks on the Star Princess and hope do get the same luck again....:cool: :eek: :cool:

I sail one week from today. I have booked a guarantee HH on Veendam. I do not have a cabin assignment and really do not expect one until check-in as the ship is completely sold out and I suspect that it may be oversold. I actally hope I don't get upgraded as an upgrade will mean the bottom deck with a porthole while the HH is on the promendade with a fully obstructed view of the ocean, but it is a good location. You can be outside in 10 seconds. I have never had to wait this long for a cabin assignment, but as long as I have a window I'm fine, even if it's obstructed. I like the daylight.
